Did you know that most TVs that you bring home are setup by the factory to look their best in a large, brightly lit store, not your home? That's true! Just look at the "picture mode" that your new TV defaults to. It will be VIVID, DYNAMIC, BRIGHT, etc. These are the WRONG picture modes for your home. You will be come very fatigued watching your TV in these picture modes, especially at night in a dark room. It may even be painful for some of you.

To get the most VALUE for your investment, please call us to properly calibrate your new TV as soon as you purchase it. We offer two forms of video calibration...

1) ISF Quick Calibration - $75 within 10 miles of St. George, Utah.  We will come to your home and program all the user controls correctly for your TV and your watching enviornment. This will take approximately 1 hour. We will verify that your TV connections, programming and settings are precisely correct.

2) ISF Full Calibration - Price varies by the type of TV that you have and the number of INPUTS that you are using. Pixel TVs can be done faster than rear projection CRT TVs. We also ISF calibrate projectors. This calibration includes all the elements of our quick calibration PLUS a full GREY SCALE calibration using our Sencore Calibration equipment. The time for a full calibration varies from 3 to 8 hours depending on the type of TV you have. Please call us to get your exact price for this excellent service. 435-688-7335.

Take in a local movie. Look carefully at the image. You will see a picture that looks like real life. Colors will be accurate. You will see many details in dark and brightly lit scenes. Your ISF Calibrated TV will look very similar to this movie theater image.

TVs come from the factory in what we commonly call "Torch Mode". That means many adjustments are set at or near maximum. They are set like a car running at full throttle. When we ISF calibrate your TV we turn many controls down so that your TV is runs more like a car idling. This lowers the power consumption of the TV and extends its life.

Are you angry at having to watch 2:35:1 ratio DVD's in your theater or on your HDTV with BLACK BARS on the top and bottom of the screen? Guess what? I have the cure. It's a bit pricey (about $2500 installed) but it will do the trick. I can setup your projector or TV to display both 1.85:1 and 2.35:1 ratio DVD's with a full screen image using a DVDO image scaler. If the DVD is a 1.85:1 ratio DVD, I'll feed it directly to one of your HDTV inputs. If the DVD is a super-wide 2.35:1 ratio, I'll feed it through the DVDO scaler, use the scaler to enlarge the image to fill your screen and send it to another one of your HDTV inputs. Now, with a few button clicks you can enjoy all your DVDs at 1080i or 720p resolution with no black bars.

For NEW HOME BUILDERS

If you are building a new home in Southern Utah, please take advantage of my extensive technical knowledge and have me Smartwire it correctly for you. That means putting in a large media center with a swing open door, two solid copper RG-6 lines (sweep tested to 3 Mhz) to each TV outlet, a telco line to each TV outlet, a computer network line to each TV outlet, six RG-6 HD rated lines from the Sat. dish to the hub, six RG-6 HD rated lines (and a CAT-5E for telco) from the hub to the great room TV or home theater equipment cabinet, a satellite radio antenna line to the roof,  two CAT-5E telco feeds from your outside j-box to the media center hub (to avoid having to use DSL filters on all the phone outlets in your home), 64-strand 4-conductor speaker wire (and a Cat-5 line) from your home entertainment center to your volume controls, 64-strand, 2-conductor wire from your volume controls to your in-ceiling speaker locations for house music, 105 strand, 14 gauge Smartwire to all your home theater speaker locations, CAT-5 IR control lines to a ceiling-mounted IR sensor location, to the Home Theater's light control switch area (for remote dimming control) and to the projector mounting location (for projector control) and (finally) an HDCP compliant HDMI cable from your HT equipment cabinet to your projector mounting location to be ready for the new High Definition DVD players that have already started to arrive.
