Important note about DVD-Audio and SACD:
These are the "highest quality" music formats available today
and we highly recommend them.
All the Home Theater Systems we design can play
DVD-Video, DVD-Audio and Super-audio CD (SACD) discs. If your
A/V Receiver does not have "built-in" Bass Management (like
the Newcastle R-863, R-963, R-865 and R-965) we
recommend that you purchase an
Outlaw Audio Bass Management Controller for the
best bass reproduction possible. Thank you. |

Challenge: Design a Home Theater to fit in this
narrow (64"), shallow (18") space.
Solution: Reel Home Theater designed all of this
home theater cabinet except for material and finish which were
specified by our client. We chose a Panasonic DLP rear
projection TV which was only 15.3 " deep. |

Questions and Answers
What is a Reel Home Theater?
| Our definition of a Reel Home Theater
is a room in your home where you, your family and your friends
can enjoy movies with better sound and a better picture
than you can experience at the local movie theaters.
The first thing every one of our clients
has said after hearing a Reel Home Theater for the first time is
"I'll never go to the movies again!" |

Why should I buy a Reel Home
Theater?
| There are several good reasons to buy
a Reel Home Theater. Enjoy
Movies More
First, if you are a movie-lover, you
should buy a Reel Home Theater to experience movies the way the
movie-makers intended you to experience them... Realistically!
The better the picture, the better the sound, the more REAL your
movie-viewing experience will be. In our THX-Certified Home
Theaters, where the sound and picture are as realistic as
possible, you will actually feel as if you "lived" each
movie. Your enjoyment of the movie experience will be magnified
ten fold.
Enjoy More Movies
How many new movies do you now watch at
the movie theater every month? One? Two? With your own Reel Home
Theater you can easily watch 15 movies a month in the comfort of
your own home.
Save Money
How much do you spend to take a family
of 4 to the movies? Discounting matinees, four tickets at $7
each = $28 plus $5 each for a soda and a small popcorn = $48
average total per movie. Go to the movies twice a month and you
are spending $96 per month. If you are a new movie BUFF and take
your family every week you could be spending $192 per month.
$192 to take a family of 4 to the
movies 4 times per month
$16.80 to rent 4 DVD's at your local video store and watch them
with your family in your own Reel Home Theater.
Impress Your Friends!
It's a "macho" thing! "Hey Paul, come
on over to my house tonight. I've got to show you something that
is going to knock your socks off!" I admit it. Having a
THX-certified Home Theater is a "macho-pride" thing for me. I
love it! I love to show it off. It's fun! It's exciting!
Make a Hobby of it!
As technology improves so must your
Home Entertainment systems. It's fun and exciting to make a
hobby out of keeping your Home Theater and House Music systems
up to date. Every year, the sound and picture get better. Every
month you can add a new type of cable or speaker or remote
control to improve your system a little more. It's a great
hobby! |

Hi, Bert. This is a photo of one of the
speaker pre-wires in your office. Thanks for choosing us! |
Pre-wire Example
Our pre-wire lines are hidden above
your ceiling. There are no wall plates visible. When you are
ready to install speakers, we locate the wire with pre-wire
photos and a wire locating tone device.
Note the "insulation block" we insert above the pre-wire
location. This keeps insulation out of your loudspeaker. |
What's the difference between a $199
Home Theater in a Box
and a $1995 Professionally-installed Reel Home
Theater?
| In a word ... Realism!
The $199 Home Theater in a box will decode
Dolby Digital and DTS DVD movie sound tracks and send sound to
five speakers and a subwoofer, just like a
professionally-installed Home Theater system, but the END RESULT
will be two different levels of realism. If YOU are happy
with the quality of sound from the $199 Home Theater in a
box, good for you. Buy it, install it and enjoy it. If, however,
you appreciate a more realistic sounding movie sound track you
will understand the value of a professionally-installed Home
Theater System that features higher quality components. |
What's the difference between a $100
speaker and a $1000 speaker?
| Again, the answer is Realism!
Think of yourself sitting in a totally
dark room. Sitting ten feet in front of you is your dog and two
speakers. First your dog barks. Then the $100 speaker plays back
your dog's bark. Then the $1000 speaker plays back your dog's
bark. Which speaker do you think will sound more like your real
dog? The $1000 speaker will sound more like your real dog. It
will sound more
realistic and that is what you pay more for. The better your
equipment, the more REALISTIC your Home Theater experience will
be. |

What is THX?
THX is a STANDARD by which equipment
and films are measured.
George Lucas wanted movie audiences to experience his films as
they looked and sounded in a post-production studio. He asked
Lucasfilm Ltd.'s technical director Tomlinson Holman to develop
a STANDARD by which movie sound systems could be measured. They
called it T (Tomlinson) H (Holman) X (for Lucas films first
release of the film THX1138).
THX
standards were eventually extended to Home Theater equipment.
Equipment that meets the strict THX performance standards may be
branded with the THX label and, if the systems are properly
installed and calibrated, promise the Home Theater listener the
highest degree of realism possible. |
Why should I buy THX-certified
equipment?
| The answer, again, is to guarantee you
are buying equipment that will reproduce movies as they were
intended to be heard, with the greatest degree of REALISM. |

What are the steps in building my own
Reel Home Theater?
- Invite Glenn Thomas, owner of the
company, to come to your home and learn WHAT YOU WANT
in a Home Theater.
- Glenn will match your budget,
lifestyle and home with the Home Theater equipment that will
give you the best sound and picture possible. You and Glenn
will pick the equipment you want from manufacturer's and
distributor's catalogs that Glenn will bring with him.
- Glenn will prepare an EXACT BID
for your system installation based on Reel Home Theater's
current labor rates.
- Your equipment will be ordered
directly from the manufacturer or distributor at 10% OFF
retail prices. All equipment will usually arrive in 7 to
10 days.
- While waiting for the equipment to
arrive, pre-wiring will be personally done by Glenn.
- Trim (volume controls, wall
plates, in-wall speakers) will be done by Glenn.
- Final installation will be
done by Glenn. Equipment will be installed in your equipment
rack or cabinet, hooked up, programmed and tested.

Glenn. I consider "knowing how to operate your new Home
Theater" a vital element for your satisfaction and will
spend as much time as is required to insure you are
comfortable with it.

programming or give you more instructions if necessary. Your
installation is guaranteed for 2 years.
- You will become a part of the Reel
